Well, to say the least, that video was poorly made. It proved absolutely nothing other than a vague, vague resemblence between two highly different people. And if the 'filmmaker' had done their homework, they would have realized that the Grinch turns out to be quite a loveable character. He carves the roast beast for Pete's sake. So even if the grand Dr. had chosen to make the green man resemble Baldwin (which is ridunkulous)it would have to be taken as a complement.
Like adam has said, the video is low quality. However, the creator of the 'Grinch,' Dr. Seuss is often disconnected from the content of his images. Seuss turned to political cartoons during WWII for a left-wing newspaper, and during this time, he vehemently opposed Hitler and Mussolini. Yet, his representations of all Japanese Americans as latent traitors contradicted his condemnation of racism towards African Americans and Jews that hindered the war effort. Therefore, I think the maker of this video was extremely uninformed. And although Dr. Seuss's intentions were unclear, I severely doubt that he would have been so opposed to James Baldwin.
